SNETP Forum

The SNETP Forum is the flagship event of the European Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform, held annually to unite over 200 key stakeholders from academia, research institutions, industry, and policy. It explores critical issues in nuclear energy, such as small modular reactors, new nuclear power plant developments, advanced nuclear fuel cycles, long-term operation, waste management, and nuclear cogeneration.

The SNETP Forum plays a crucial role in shaping the future of nuclear research and fostering collaboration for sustainable, safe nuclear solutions. Aligned with the European Green Deal’s goals of achieving climate neutrality by 2050 and reducing emissions by 55% by 2030, the Forum serves as a platform to drive progress in the nuclear sector. Last year’s event in Rome attracted over 275 participants from 26 countries, featuring seven panel discussions and nine technical sessions where industry leaders and researchers shared valuable insights into key challenges and innovations.

This year, FISA-EURADWASTE and the SNETP Forum are co-organising a 3-in-1 event to showcase European collaboration and advancements in nuclear research. In partnership with the European Commission, the National Centre for Nuclear Research (NBCJ, Poland), the European Nuclear Education Network (ENEN), the European Nuclear Society (ENS), and the European Nuclear Society - Young Generation Network (ENS-YGN), SNETP will be prominently featured throughout the programme and will host a networking cocktail on the second evening of the event. Further details will be shared soon.
