Young generation - who is it?

Those who can be defined as a young generation (except those who feel young at heart), should additionally meet one of the following conditions:

  • students;
  • PhD candidates
  • postdoctoral researchers
  • early-career researchers (with no more than 2–3 years of research experience)
  • early-career professionals in the nuclear industry

  • January 30th– abstracts submission only for posters and videos

Wait for the acceptance notification

Your abstract will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee.
Based on the reviewers' assessment you will be invited to:

  • submit the final version of you abstract
  • write a full article (only for those who submit abstracts by December 15)
  • or prepare a poster or video

  1. Can you please briefly introduce yourself and tell us what made you choose to work in your field?
  2. What is your research/industrial project about?
  3. What makes your research innovative or disruptive in the nuclear sector?
  4. How do you see your research impacting the nuclear industry or addressing societal challenges?
  5. What are the chances of practical application of the results in reality?

Travel Grant Rules

  • Submit an abstract and prepare a paper, poster or video
  • Take part in all 4 days of conference (mark your presence on the attendance list – a necessary condition)
  • Present your research in person via poster or video
  • Receive up to 500 €*** reimbursement of travel costs –paid after the conference
  • Remember, the conference is free of charge, but the cost of travel and accommodation is your expense

***exceptions/exclusions

1. Young people whose work is related to EURATOM programmes - cannot apply for a travel grant, the cost of their travel should be financed from project funds. 
2. People who are Warsaw-based and its surroundings daily cannot apply for a travel grant.

What topics can be submitted?

Any thematically related to:

  • nuclear energy,
  • nuclear safety,
  • reactor systems,
  • medical applications of nuclear techniques,
  • radiation technologies,
  • waste management,
  • new concepts, innovations, Gen IV, SMR
  • benefits and threats related to the use of nuclear phenomena, processes and techniques,
  • technical aspects, economics and social reception of nuclear energy applications
  • and so on.

You are not an engineer, you represent the area of humanities research (law, economics, tourism, journalism), and your research is related to #nuclear - submit an abstract and join us.
